Currently the largest public-private partnership (P3) water project ever tendered in Canada, the Regina Wastewater Treatment Plant in Saskatchewan is undergoing a significant infrastructure overhaul needed to meet the needs of a growing population and new environmental regulations. The new plant will implement the strictest approval requirements to protect both public health and the environment. Once in place, the treatment solutions will reduce nutrients that can damage the environment from re-entering the river and will improve conditions for any aquatic life in the Wascana Creek and Qu’Appelle River system.
