Currently the largest public-private partnership (P3) water project ever executed in Canada, the Regina Wastewater Treatment Plant in Saskatchewan has undergone a significant infrastructure overhaul needed to meet the needs of a growing population and new environmental regulations. The new plant implements the strictest approval requirements to protect both public health and the environment. The new treatment solutions are reducing nutrients that can damage the environment from re-entering the river and improving conditions for any aquatic life in the Wascana Creek and Qu’Appelle River system.
